Development of a Phosphorous-free RO Antiscalant for Waste water Recycling Applications

Section 2: Chemical performance and lab evaluation "The new reverse osmosis antiscalant was developed by combining high performance scale inhibitor and special dispersant to improve inorganic fouling control capability. All components in the formulation are phosphorous-free, and has low tendency to contribute to microbial fouling, which is a desired feature. Jar test and lab scale evaluation was performed to compare its capability with conventional organic phosphorous based antiscalant.
