摘要

Our results show that the peroxynitrite induces deactivation of KGDHC complexes and the reactivity of the complex is recovered by GSH or N-acetylcysteine treatment. Five nitration sites were identified in E1, E2, and E3 using native gel separation, accurate mass measurement and tandem mass spectrometry. The findings suggest that the similar modifications of KGDHC may occur in vivo, and regulation of KGDHC activity by protein nitration may be of significance in pathology of neurodegenerative diseases.
