IMPLEMENTING ITS USING RC AIRPLANES FOR POSTAL AND PARCEL SERVICES OF SWEDEN

THIS paper is about an effort to provide a way of implementing ITS (Intelligent Transportation Systems) using RC (Radio Controlled) airplanes or UAVs (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles), which ultimately can be used for the daily postal and parcel services. The unmanned, small sized airplanes can be a more efficient mode of daily low load capacity transportation within cities of a country located a few hundreds to a thousand km, than the present conventional ways (such as roadways, railways and waterways). The RC airplanes could reduce cost and time of transportation for the postal and parcel services by achieving more efficiency.
