The technological process occurring in the recent years in such fields as space industry,electrical engineering industry,medicine,transport,etc.poses the need of a transfer of a heat flux of a large density from an elementary surface.For this purpose,mini-systems of steam compressor refrigerating systems are equipped with compact heat exchangers,where the refrigerant is subject to the phase changes of condensation and boiling. This paper presents the results of experimental tests of the heat exchange process during condensation of eco- friendly R134a and R404A refrigerants in a single pipe mini-channel.On the basis of the research results,the usability of the Aker’s and Shah’s correlations was found as regards heat exchange.Friedel’s or Chen’s correlations were also found to be useful for the determination of pressure drops in a single pipe mini-channel with an internal diameter of 0.98÷3. 3 mm.
