Daniel This article presents the possibility of using renewable sources of energy for cooling.It describes absorption cooling unit with pair of working fluids lithium bromide and water with possibility of connection to solar heating system.In the article are presented and discussed the results of measurements on small scale experimental unit with cooling output of 1kW.Influence of different temperatures of driving fluid coming from solar system on cooling power is shown in this work.The results of the experiments are used as foundations for construction of new experimental unit with cooling output of 10 kW.In the energy balance of this application with solar cycle are shown possible energy savings in comparison with compressor cooling systems. Unit is currently being built in close cooperation of Department of Heat Energetic and I.E.systems l.t.d. company,dealing with development of absorption cooling unit with cooling output of 10kW.URKA(a),Michal Molotta(b)
