摘要

In plastic injection molding machines cavity pressure sensing requires modifications to the mold which can sometimes be costly and time consuming. In addition, locating the sensor such that no sink marks appear on the part is challenging. This paper focuses on developing a mathematical model between pressure sensors located on the nozzle and in the cavity. Using this model and nozzle pressure sensing, the cavity pressure can be evaluated so as to maintain good part quality.
