HARDWARE WRITING: YOU CAN'T ALWAYS TOUCH IT

Technical communication in the later 20th and early 21st Centuries has been dominated by writing about software. Despite this, hardware offers a wide variety of subject matter in fields including technology, transportation, medical, security, robotics, networking, and telecommunications. Conventional wisdom states that hardware technical writing is easier than software technical writing, because hardware is tangible, it can be touched, devices can be turned on, picked up, turned over.
