PERFORMANCE OF SCOURSTOP TRANSITION MAT? FOR CHANNELIZED HYDRAULIC CONDITIONS

Between the summer of 2005 and the summer of 2007, hydraulic performance testing was conducted by Colorado State University on the ScourStop Transition Mat? (TM) manufactured by Erosion Tech, Inc in both a culvert outfall condition and a channelized condition. The objective of the test program was to determine the performance of this new technology under applicable hydraulic conditions. Information presented within this paper i intended to summarize the test program for the channelized performance tests, identified performance thresholds, and relate this study to the previous investigation of ScourStop Transition Mats at culvert outfalls.
