This paper reports an experimental investigation using adaptative control in a refrigeration system. This system is composed basically for a semi-hermetic alternative compressor, concentrical tubes condensator and evaporator heat exchangers and a thermostatic expansion valve. The refrigerant used in the refrigeration system was the R-22 and also an AC frequency inverter has been used to control the compressor rotation. The temperatures were measured by PT-100 sensors and the pressures were measured using piezoresistive pressure transducers, the data acquisition was implemented using the software Labview, it was also used an electronic card with analogical signal output. These analogical signals are converted into digital through a Programmable Logic Controller and then sent to the computer through a PC serial port. The tests were performed with a variable speed compressor in range 30 to 70 Hz and the experimental results showed the high performance (COP) to 50Hz with fuzzy control.
