A two-bed mode adsorption chiller using silica gel adsorbent and water working pair was analyzed numerically and experimentally for the recovery of low-grade waste heat. These experiments were conducted at the cyclic steady state with constant heat source and control temperatures at the standard rating conditions. The numerical approach employed in this study is essentially a lumped parameter modeling with the heat transfer resistances with a function of bed temperature, flow rate and fin gap at the silica gel beds.
