Calculation of Over voltages in the Asynchronous Motors Supplied with Frequency converters of the type Modulation of Impulsion Breadth

This work is about the development of ageometrical method for calculation of the undulatory parameters and the over voltages in windings of a three-phase asynchronous motors. The cage was supplied with a semi-conductor frequency converters of type Modulation of Impulsion Breadth (PWM) equipped IGBT-transistor. To validate the results, experimental testing was conducted. The theoretical method developed in this study is able to calculate the over voltages on any point in the winding and study the undulatory phenomenon for any winding supplied with a rectangular impulse similar to the ones of PWM control type.
