The Search for Gravitational Waves

摘要

An extended data taking run involving the long baseline gravitational wave detectors—LIGO, Virgo and GEO 600—is close to an end and results of astrophysical significance are being produced. In this short review the development of the detectors and plans for the future will be discussed.
