Stabilizing pharmaceuticals for bioanalytical analysis is absolutely necessary to ensure that quality results are generated. Identifying suitable additives can be a very challenging process that can be experimental intensive, often in the face of aggressive timelines. By using physiochemical and metabolic knowledge of the analyte combined with experimental testing of stabilizing agents, scientists can find mechanisms to stabilize analytes of interest in a wide range of matrices. Once stabilized, accurate and precise characterization of drug concentrations enable pharmacokinetic assessments, ultimately bringing medicines to market enhancing patients lives.
