Portable XRF for On-Site Analysis of Precious Metals and Materials: From Exploration to End-Products

XRF is a standard non-destructive analysis method for precious and base metals. In the past, this technique relied entirely on the time-consuming expense of collecting samples and sending them to the laboratory for analysis. Today, portable XRF analyzers are critical tools for rapid on-site sorting and screening of precious/base metals and materials, capable of measuring elements from P to U at levels from PPM to 100 percent. The combination of point-and-shoot simplicity with Pocket PC power, X-ray tube source, and high-resolution detector performance provides unprecedented cost-effective versatility to give on-the-spot answers for the immediate-action oriented world of precious metals.
