FINE COAL RECOVERY PLANT INSTALLATION: SMITH BRANCH IMPOUNDMENT - PINNACLE MINING

The sampling and analysis of the Smith Branch Impoundment and the thickener underflow from the Pinnacle preparation plant indicated the economic viability to install a fine coal recovery system at this site. The recovery system has been designed to utilize the latest fine coal technologies available to the industry. The system will incorporate the following advanced technologies; 400HP hydraulic electric dredge, compound spirals, deslime cyclone circuit, column flotation, dewatering chemicals and technologies and paste thickener.
