TEST FACILITY AT EUITI-UPM TO MEASURING PV GRID CONNECTED INVERTERS

In the middle of 2001, we started to develop a new PV systems test facility at the Industrial Technical Engineering School of the Polytechnic University of Madrid (EUITI -UPM). This test facility had two mayor parts: a grid connected PV system to use as a demonstration plant and to study it and the instrumentation needed to measure the parameters of interest for our studies. In this paper, we include a description of the system (PV system and monitoring setup) and will explain the main research works we had carried out, including inverter modelling. This will help to novel researchers to develop their own test facility.
