ISO 4190-6 Revision - Planning and Selection of Lifts in Office Buildings, Hotels and Residential Buildings

The ISO 4190-6 standard was first published in 1984. It covers planning of lifts in residential buildings. In 2014, ISO TC178/WG6 approved a work item to revise Part 6 to also include hotels and office buildings. To carry out this revision Working Subgroup 5 (SG5) was established. From spring 2014 a group of lift traffic experts has gathered several times to make a revision of this standard. The work is still ongoing. This article concentrates on some of the items behind the standard.
