Comparison of Lift Energy Classification Standards

摘要

A new ISO standard was released in March 2015 covering the energy usage classification of lifts. This paper will compare and contrast ISO 25745-2 with standard VDI 4707 which was released in 2009 and also classifies lifts for energy consumption. The paper will utilize test cases from actual installed elevators. A co-author, Rich Fargo, led a technical sub team in the ISO working group developing ISO25745-2, and will provide insight into the rationale behind the differences relative to VDI4707.
