AGENT-BASED SYSTEMS MODELING: AN APPROACH TO CREATION OF AGENT-BASED SOCIAL SYSTEMS SCIENCES

摘要

In this paper we first introduce concept of agent-based systems modeling in reference with our 21st Century COE program "Creation of Agent-based Social Systems Sciences (ABSSS)". Then we illustrate one of typical examples of such modeling, namely, models of negotiation. We classify negotiation into two types, i.e., positions-and-threats negotiation and assertive negotiation, according to attitudes adopted by the negotiators and develop unique models for each category. Furthermore, we apply the former model to a river pollution problem in Indonesia for structuring the problematic situation.
