Strategy Searching for Business Gaming - Software Agents Work for a Game Designer

This paper introduced an agent model to play gaming simulation in one of the business games that called Bakery Game. Business game is a method that focused to understand about business and the principle of the management through the experience in a virtual world. The interaction of the player forms the gaming simulation, and if the game lacks some of the players, the balance of the game may change. In case that we want to solve this problem by using computer agents, we must give a kind of strategy to the agent. The strategy enables the agent to play game in real-time. Based on the knowledge of the game designer, the decision-making model of the agent is constructed. The agent also has an algorithm to adjust the strategy in the game by using the past game data. The agent joins to the regenerated gaming simulation from old real gaming data, and tries to adapt to the game as if that is in realtime. Through simulations, the agent can return a balanced decision making, and the agent can win in some cases.
