MOBILE DOCUMENTATION SYSTEM FOR EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES

We introduce a Mobile Documentation System for Emergency Medical Services based on our measurement system architecture, that has three main qualities: secure two-way transfer of measurement data, quick adaptability to different kinds of measurement tasks and strong data presentation capabilities through XML techniques. Documentation is managed with the help of new wireless technology relieving paramedics in hectic situations to take care of a patient. The documentation of all medical care activities is brought into electronic form. The data is then available for physicians in a treating hospital and third party medical information systems. Furthermore, this new type of detailed documentation can serve as basis for medical research.
