Asia accounts for 90% of the world's rice production and consumption. In most Asian countries, pesticides have played a very important role in maintaining self-sufficiency in rice production and stability in rice prices. Not only are pesticides dangerous for farmers, they also threaten many creatures because they tend to accumulate in the top predators of the food chain. In this study, a scenario expression for undertaking the estimation of pesticide reductions from paddy rice was examined, as a basis to generate a complete approach for assessment of pesticide dynamics within the paddy rice category.
