Technology research and application of production facilities in NanYang Heavy crude oil

NanYang heavy oil reservoir is characterized by some special properties, such as shallow buried depth (less than 450m) and thin oil layers (only 5-15m thick), medium to high heavy oil scattered distribution of oil zones and small oil- bearing area and so on. Thermal recovery by steam injection is taken as the main exploitation method, and conventional water- flood and partially hot water drive etc. are as the assistant production methods. In order to meet the need of the development of these heavy oil fields, by means of laboratory experiments, field tests and applications of them, some processes and production facilities, suitable for this kind of complex oil fields, have been developed, which include optimizing scheme of general planning for facilities construction;applying different flow charts of oil and gas gathering and transportation, such as unity flow-line of steam injection and oil production, blended light oil in flow line and back blended of produced water inflow line and so on based on various heavy oil blocks with different features;adopting heavy oil purifying treatment of two stage closed dehydration process;applying gravity disposal flow chart of produced water mainly by flotation and filtration, and oil contamination and sludge handling as the secondary path;in steam injection system, adopting concentrated arrangement of steam generation & supply stations in different development areas, high pressure steam and water separation technology and two-phase measure of vapor and so on. The main technology of heavy crude oil gathering and transportation and process reaches the domestic advanced level, realizes the goal of saving energy and decreasing consumption, fulfilling zero discharge of produced water in process station, and meets the demand of environment protection and relating laws & regulations. These successful applications of facilities and processes have met the production demand of plateau oil production for more than ten years in NanYang heavy crude oil field.
