How Short Haul Cost Optimized Systems Could Pave the Way to Inception of Regional Systems

This paper will discuss the concept of short haul cost optimized systems for submarine regional systems. A new technical approach will be described that can meet the low capacity and low cost budget constraints of these regional systems. The solution performance issues will also be analyzed in light of this novel scheme.
