Challenges of Middleware in OSS for Next Generation Networks

Both OSS and middleware have co-existed in the Communications Service Provider's Enterprise Architecture for a number of years. Does this strategy satisfy the needs of the industry today? What challenges are being faced with the current implementations? This paper looks at the issues experienced with these implementations, as well as today's industry drivers, to provide strategies Communications Service Providers can adopt for the OSS architectures for the future.
