EUROLAB European Federation of National Associations of Measurement, Testing and Analytical Laboratories

During the ten last years, the European Federation of EUROLAB has become the most representative organisation of laboratories at the European Union level and the preferred interlocutor of the public authorities and accreditation bodies for the activities of testing, analysis and calibration for companies, in the context of the Single Market's construction. It not only intervenes in the regulatory and volunteer contexts, but it also plays a significant role on the technical, economic and political scales. It helps, on behalf of the community of laboratories, to answer to the various industrial and social contexts relative to testing, verifications and measurements necessary to develop the external trade and to protect consumers. EUROLAB brings together national associations - one per country, sometimes two on a temporary basis - active and associated members or international affiliates of the European Federation: the Croatian Metrology Society and CROLAB for instance are both of the most recent members but we are very grateful for their active presence in meetings of EUROLAB. That is why it is with a great pleasure that EUROLAB answered the invitation made to participate in the 19~(th) International Metrology Symposium organised by IMEKO, the Croatian Metrology Society, the Croatian Society of Medical Biochemists, the Croatian Chamber of Medical Biochemists and Metrology Consulting. As far as EUROLAB may contribute I hope EUROLAB will concretely help the Croatian laboratories to fully integrate and take advantage of the single European market, through useful and pragmatic information, as well as invitation to directly take part in working groups for the adaptation of the "rules of the game" in Europe and in the world.
