In axial cyclone tangential velocity is imparted to the fluid with the help of angular vanes of swirl generator installed at the entrance of the cyclone. The tangential velocity is measured by indigenously developed tangential velocity meter. The reliability of developed tangential velocity measuring instrument is compared with theoretically calculated tangential velocity using equations from literature. The effect of vane angles of 20 °, 28 °, 32 °, 45 °, 60 °, 70 ° of swirl generator and linear velocity on tangential velocity in axial cyclone is studied.
