Experimental investigations on the gasper jet inside a 7-row aircraft cabin mockup

摘要

This study aimed at quantifying the gasper jets in an aircraft cabin environment, and then tried to isolate and quantify the influences of this particular environment by comparing the characteristics of the jets under different conditions. In order to accomplish this goal, a high power 2D-PIV system for measuring the air distribution of the gasper jets in the cabin was built, and then the decay and deflection characteristics of the jets were analysed as the representatives of the environmental influences.
