Various Ontology Application Cases

摘要

This article discusses popular AI term -Ontology - describes its role as a completely? new trend in AI, its standardization and use. The article also includes analysis of some use cases, benefits and problems, done by research group at Chelyabinsk State University and introduces a new term - semantic programming. Ontologies have lots of information on subject areas, such as object states, relations between states, and this information may be used for logical inference. This inference be used to perform real-world actions, thus allowing ontology to be used as algorithm.
