In this paper, we report the recovery of cobalt and nickel from the cathodic materials of the spent nickel-cadmium cells with wet method. The overall yields of cobalt and Ni reach up to 99.0% and 99.2% respectively by using solvent extraction to remove the impurity and to separate cobalt and nickel. And the quality of the crystal NiCO_4 and CoSO_4 is superior to the universal enterprise standard HG/T2824-1997. All the primary element in the spent battery have safety outlet harmless to environment, which will not produce secondary pollution.
