Efficient Wavelet Image Coding with Packetization

摘要

We propose an efficient image coding algorithm based on the independent wavelet tree coding concept. The wavelet trees are encoded using a low complexity set partitioning technology. The sub-bitstreams of wavelet trees are assembled into the final bitstream through an efficient packetization based on holographic transform. The proposed algorithm has low complexity, fast encoding/decoding and low memory requirement. It supports region retrievability and error resilience.
