With the development of modern signal processing technology, The beam-forming has become a key component of the sonar signal processing field. The performance of the beam-forming influences directly the magnitude of the array-gain. This paper regards small-scale flank-array as the research object, presents the array-gain model with error at first. The effect of the element phase error, amplitude error and position error on the array-gain is discussed in the different frequency. Then it draws lessons from the model of the error on beam-forming. The element signal phase error, amplitude error and position error have effect on the array-gain, which is introduced in detail by theory analysis combining with computer simulation.
