Application of Over-Voltage Protector against Lightning on 10kV Insulated Overhead Line

摘要

This paper analyzes the mechanism of line breakage of overhead insulated lines by lightning, compares the existing technical countermeasures against lightning at home and broad and addresses that over-voltage protector is an effect method for preventing line breakages. Further, the improvement of the overvoltage protector, its performance and requirement for installation are analyzed in detail in this paper. The results are useful in lightning protection of overhead insulated lines.
