70 male albino rats of two ages: growing (2-months age, 102 g /rat) and adults (4- months age, 280 g / rat) were used in this study. The rats were fed on a balanced diet (21% crude proteins, 3% crude fats and 4% crude fibers). The treatments of oral administration of a single dose (3700 Bq/growing rat and 7400 Bq/adult rat) of ~137Cs (~137Cs Cl salt) and prussian blue (PB, 300 mg/ kg body weight/day for 60 days) were as the following combinations: [1] without ~137Cs or PB, [2] ~137Cs only, [3] PB only, [4] PB one day before ~137Cs, [5] PB immediately after ~137Cs, [6] PB one day after ~137Cs, and [7] PB one week after ~137Cs. All of body weight, total body water (TBW), fat-free body (FFB), total body fat (TBF), fat-free dry body (FFDB), total body protein (TBP), and total body ash (TBA).
