The technology and equipment of controlled water-air cooling for die hardening are worked up in order to replace oils, polymeric and other hardening mediums. The technique of simulation the hardening process in various mediums for test pieces and typical products on PC without the necessity to undertake the experimental works is developed which allows to predict efficiently the quality of products at their manufacturing from various steel brands or to choose a substitute for a brand of steel and the optimum processing schedule ensuring improvement of the product's quality.
