This paper will show how an innovative service for the consultation of cartographical datas was realized, based on GIS1technology and mobile phones through a packet-switched mobile network and interconnected to the Internet. In particular some e-government institutional services tourism-oriented, able to provide geo -referenced information, have been implemented.
