A Study on User Rights in Electronic Publications under Digital Library Environment

Protecting copyright is not an easy task and controlling infringement behavior under digital library environment can be a very complicated undertaking. So we need to seek for the reasonable uses based on the digital technique and lawful control based on the network dissemination. As a result, not only the copyright owners' legal copyrights are protected, but also the legal rights that the public fairly obtains the electronic publications are supported. The purpose of this paper is to discuss and justify the lawful uses of copyrighted works legally acquired by individuals and digital libraries under digital library environment. This paper gives special emphasis on principle guidance and the scope of user rights in electronic publications.
