摘要

The basic characteristics and composition of Basalts are described. The main aim of this contribution is investigation of degradation kinetics in hydrochloride acid HCl and sodium NaOH or calcium Ca(OH)_2 hydroxides. The simple rate model of weight loss due to degradation is proposed. The process of degradation is characterized qualitatively by scanning electron microscopy.
