Antibiotic ring test can't meet the demand of testing quantitative antibacterial property of Apocunum venetum fibers. In this paper, evaluation method-Flask-shaking Test was established according to the antibacterial ability of Apocynum venetum fibers. Some test parameters such as pH value of buffering liquid, content of broth and shaking time, influence the antibacterial property evaluation of Apocynum venetum fibers seriously. Experiments proved the antibacterial ability of Apocynum venetum fibers drops to some extent with the increasing of the buffering liquid pH value, and when the speed of rotation reached 200 rpm/min, all bacteria can keep touching with the antibiotic material in the fiber completely, and the antibacterial rate reach the top one. It also proved 2hr is the best shaking time in this test and it can embody the antibacterial property obviously. Several kinds of microorganisms, such as Staphylococeus aureus, Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Candida albicans, were used to test this antibacterial property of Apocynum venetum fibers. Tests show Apocynum venetum fibers have obviously antibacterial abilities. But these abilities are different when performance on different microorganisms. The antibacterial rate on G~-bacteria is higher than that on G~+ bacteria. That is to say, they have the different antibacterial mechanisms.
