Crease resistance is an important fabric quality parameter, especially for fabrics destined for clothing. Although according to Polish proverb "No cloths adorns a human being" , it influences his mood as well as a fact, how he is seen by the other people. A big attention has been lately paid on an aesthetics, including first of all blameless appearance in a daily and professional life. Many wrinkles and folds occurring on the clothing decreases significantly its appearance and influences the opinion about the user. Smooth surface of clothing, without wrinkles gives us a good information about the user as well as the society or company, which he represents. Taking this into consideration we tend to limit the clothing fabric wrinkle ability by different ways. We can distinguish two phases of fabric wrinkling phenomenon: 1. a counteraction to a durable deflection characterizing a fabric crease resistance, 2. an elastic return to the primary (initial) state after wrinkling. During the textile utility assessment a big significance has a fabric behavior after the release of bending forces, i. e. , its ability to take the initial shape. An important element of this assessment is a speed and degree of wrinkle disappearing. Small fabric wrinkling ability has a significance not only from the appearance point of view, but also an utility durability, because in places of wrinkles the fabric is subjected on a fast degradation due to the abrasion force action. Research showed up that many factors influence the fabric crease resistance. One of them is a kind of raw material, and especially fiber elasticity (Zurek and Kopias, 1997). An important role plays also a quality of yarn used for the fabric production, first of all its linear density and twist (Zurek and Kopias, 1997). Among the fabric parameters, the biggest influence on a wrinkle ability has the number of interlacements resulting in the applied weave and a fabric cover factor.
