摘要

A flexural analysis technique for axisymmetric laminated cylindrical shells with variable thickness is presented. The analysis includes the derivation of classical laminated shell theory equations for a varying thickness shell. This analysis also includes the reduction of the equations of equilibrium, strain displacement relations, and constitutive equations to a single equation. This equation is solved analytically and is given in terms of Kelvin functions (1-2). Results are presented that demonstrate the excellent agreement obtained between our method and finite element analysis.
