WEB SERVICES COMPOSITION-A MULTIOBJECTIVE OPTIMIZATION PROBLEM

Web services composition allows existing web services to collaborate to accomplish a complicated task. In this paper a web services composition problem is formulated as a multiobjective optimization problem. The goal is to select an optimal set of web services as components of a composite web service. While solving the problem, the author took into consideration the interactions among different attributes. The approximation of the decision maker's preference would be more accurate. Since the selection of web services is based on the decision maker's preference, a more accurate approximation of preference would lead to better selection decision. Finally, linear programming methods were suggested to solve the problem.
