Classification and possible consequences of the sublethal effects of heavy metal model mixture in fish at early ontogenesis

It was determined the sublethal effects of different heavy metal model mixtures (HMMM's) in rainbow trout at early ontogenesis (embryos, larvae). These sublethal effects classified evaluated their consequences in fish and predicted possible after-effects. Sublethal effects of HMMM's in rainbow trout at early life stages of development showed that there are many possible adverse effects other than decreases in survival and growth. The alterations in morphological, physiological parameters, and behavioural responses, occurred at the earliest stages of development of fish organism can induce negative consequences not only in well-being of individual, but in the survival of population too. The comparison of the sublethal effects revealed that low concentrations of HMMM's can induce the negative changes in fish in early ontogenesis, disturb the most important physiological systems activity, alter behavioural parameters. These adverse alterations, possibly, can decrease the resistance of fish to the effects of non-toxic environmental factors and the survival in the later stages of development.
