摘要

This paper describes an experimental and analytical investigation of the penetration and perforation of concrete slabs struck by rigid kinetic energy projectiles. Particular attention is paid on the penetration modelling of concrete, which is of fundamental importance when assessing the capability of a projectile to perforate a target. The CalPen3D code was developed by the CEG for the purpose of calculating the 3D path of rigid projectiles into geological and concrete targets. The capabilities of CalPen3D are presented and examples of use given through different examples of attack scenarios taken from its evaluation programme.
