A microwave resonant ring with a traveling TE/sub 01/ wave for high power tests of components was developed. Novel low-loss miter bends with flat mirrors and mode converters were used in the resonator. Low power measurements were carried out - the maximum gain factor exceeds 35 at an operating frequency of 34.272 GHz. Total quality is about 21400. In this case, the reflection coefficient from the resonator is less than 1 %.
