Providing virtual cooperation services is highly required by applications such as, the voice and video conferencing, gaming, simulation, and virtual reality in the Internet. In this paper, we study an effective infrastructure providing virtual cooperation services in large scale networks. In particular: 1) we adopt the overlay-based infrastructure, where control agents construct an effective control overlay to coordinate endpoint users; 2) we study the static network partition and control agent deployment problems by designing effective algorithms to achieve the overall service load balance for control agents; 3) we study a distributed cooperation protocol to adapt endpoint user dynamics. We conduct extensive performance evaluations on different schemes and algorithms and our performance results demonstrate the feasibility of our approach for the large system.
