Leakage of water from the Douhe Reservoir was studied using hydrogen and oxygen isotope geochemistry. Water samples were collected from reservoir and boreholes and isotope data such as deuterium,oxygen- 18 and tritium were analyzed. The isotope data indicated that sample points were recharged from different sources. Interconnection test provided additional evidence of the possible leakage location. The pathway of leakage was determined, providing a scientific basis for recommending measures to repair the situation.
