摘要

This paper presents the results of deformation-fluid flow models simulating a faulted basin evolving from tectonic extension to compression, and a fluid flow-thermal-chemical reactive transport model representing a static basin with a listric fault and a hot intrusion. We show that numerical modeling is a powerful tool for simulating interactions between the processes of deformation, fluid flow, heat transport and chemical reactions that are responsible for mineralization. This tool can be used to assist mineral exploration.
