The Peer-to-Peer(P2P) service is a technology that can share their information among users who are able to connected to the related programs without intervening by a server. Since all personal computers that connected to the Internet under the Peer-to-Peer service can operate as a server or a client, they can provide and share both their information and services through the direct connection. Currently, the Peer-to-Peer service is giving an equal access privilege to all users for sharing their resources. Under this situation, since a lot of vulnerability against the various attacks through the Internet is possible, more sophisticated security services are necessary. In this paper, we propose an access control scheme based on the reputation received from the peers. In proposed scheme, all users establish an access control policy on sharing resources of themselves. When a user requests sharing resources, a resource provider grants access privilege to the peers based on the "reputation value" representing reliability of resource requester.
