The hydration and hardening processes in complex binders containing fly ash (25-45%) and silica fume (5-10%) were assessed in this paper, as well as the freeze-thaw resistance (for the binding composition with the best mechanical properties). The obtained data suggest a reduction of the delaying effect determined by the fly ash additions on the cement fraction hydration -hardening processes in the silica fume presence. Also, the binders with fly ash and silica fume have a good freeze-thaw resistance mainly due to the reduction of the average pore radius (compared with Portland cement).
